Characteristics of a professional that could help you to estimate candidates correctly š Good morning, dear BAs folks! ā Previously we discussed the question of the efficiency of IT employees. This morning, I want to highlight the sensitive question who is a real professional? We had some interesting discussions at the project about professional candidates š I want to share with you the discussion conclusions in thesis form. Generally, skills are part of any profession. We are learning to reproduce skills. Details, elements, knowledge, and a set of different cases that were implemented from our professional background. The main aim for us is to be able to adapt these skills to any situation that occurs.Based on these thoughts we can identify three main characteristics of a professional person that could be used in practice: 1. Is a person who understands the details of the issue and the case context simultaneously.2. Is a person who cannot do his job poorly! He identifies with himself with his job.3. Is a person who enjoys his work! Because work reproduction brings him a feeling of true satisfaction! He likes the process of his work, first of all. This fact motivates him to always strive for perfection. What do you think about the proposed characteristics? Personality and aptitude assessments are increasingly being used as a standard part of the recruitment process, becuse they give great results and shiny future especially when AI comes to play. However, I think that this approach should not be seen as a single point of truth, because the interviewer may easyly develop bias and start discriminate pontatial candidate due to the results from such assessments. Such assessments should be used in conjunction with other evaluation and validation mechanisms like background check, behavioral credibility anlyse and other techniques in order to transfer and share the risk of errors with false positive and false negative effects.There are entitites that their business is focused on the oposite point - to prepare candidates to pass successufully such assessments especially for high stake interviews for middle and top management positions. The risk from such candidates becomes iniminent once they pass the front door of the organization and become insider threat from the very beginning.
