$128,612 to $138,102 per annum, + 13% Loading, + 13% superannuation.

About the role

This role contributes to the success of the City by overseeing customer service initiatives for residents, tourists, businesses, and key stakeholders, as well as overseeing Salamanca Market and the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre. You will build and sustain organisational cohesion relating to these and other customer facing services, activities and functions.

Role accountabilities include:

  • Develop, maintain, monitor and champion a forward focused strategic operating model for the Council.
  • Maintain awareness of current events that may affect the City and impact on service delivery of the Council.
  • Form strong, professional and strategic alliances across the Council and the City’s broader professional and business community.
  • Support Council to identify gaps and/or opportunities to improve its interactions with its clients, its communications and services.
  • Developand manage strategic plans and budgets incorporating broad organisational priorities, goals and objectives.
  • Manage, direct and provide high level expert advice on a diverse and complex range of areas relevant to the position.
  • Engage specialist services as required.
  • Ensure the Unit is responsive, open and engaging to the needs, concerns and aspiration of the community.
