Movies at H’ART Museum

Perhaps the most romantic open-air cinema in Amsterdam. The courtyard of the H’ART Museum Amsterdam opens for the fourth time for Movies at H’ART (formerly Movies at the Hermitage). During the last two weeks of August, various award-winning films are shown. This event takes place from 7 to 25 August.

“Hasta La Vista, Baby!” Movie Nights

Hasta La Vista, Baby!, the Spanish restaurant on the 19th floor of the INNSiDE By Melia Hotel in Amsterdam’s Zuidas, introduces a new concept for summer evenings: Movie Nights. Guests can enjoy timeless film classics with a stunning view of the Amsterdam skyline. For just €19.50 per person, Hasta La Vista, Baby! offers a romantic and/or cozy evening. This includes a welcome co*cktail, a bucket of fresh popcorn, and of course, a classic movie to enjoy. The first edition takes place on Monday, June 17, and thereafter there will be a movie night every Sunday and Monday until July 15. With a bit of luck and high enthusiasm, this could be extended. Doors open at 9:00 PM for a bite and a drink, and as soon as the sun sets (around 9:30 PM), the movie starts. Time: 9:00 PM doors open, movie starts around 9:30 PM.

Pluk de Nacht Film Festival

One of the best open-air cinemas in the summer is Pluk de Nacht at Het Stenen Hoofd on the IJ. Lie in a deckchair and enjoy films that are usually not shown in the Netherlands because they are too small, too crazy, too experimental, or too extravagant. This event takes place from 21 to 31 August.
